Nothingness..

By the river, on a log of wood I sit. Except the sound of the flow, there is nothing but calm,
Oblivion on my mind, life goes back to the things that made a difference,
It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

Except the beauty of nature, nothing in eternity would satisfy my thirsty soul,
Works like a magical herb and gives the courage to continue the life whole,
It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

Believer of the challenger, so have I always been,
Sometimes defeat and an odd win, went on to build my character within,
It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

Played it fair always, respected the deserving always, followed the right always,
Thought maybe karma would follow suit, it came around like it always does,
It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

Love made it almost impossible, to turnaround and comeback,
Scars made it possible to face the next morning standing on my own strength,
It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

Maybe that is all it has been or maybe more,

It is these things in life and the larger change they bring.

The Path…

It was lush green, the mountains with the monsoon giving them life, fog all around. Saw the natives sowing seeds for a crop. Heart was joyous in the midst of nature. It always asks for so little, yet we all strive so hard but always in the wrong way. Never wanted this path to end, because the journey through felt better then the destination.

We all have a point of time in life from where we have an option of choosing our paths. The path to our best is always as tedious as getting on top of a mountain, but we all know how beautiful that walk is throughout. It’s called the path of our ‘Dreams’.  Our trust, our values, our conscious tested at every curve. It pulls you out of your comforts, makes you strive hard for survival.  Our soul accepts the wounds. Because it’s the only path that gives a meaning to life, all the other ways are mere illusions and are incomplete.

A very few, who like to take on the path of ‘Dreams’, enjoying every bit of it. These Wanderers of Life have a lust for the path throughout. The destination is only the end, the tip of satisfaction. Most of us fall for the common path, the one with illusions. Which means striving for satisfaction on the most unsatisfying path. Dreary isn’t it, yet taken by most of us. It’s only a few who take the path ‘Uncommon’ among the common.

We all need to find that path.

Stars and my Heart

Alcohol had started entering the veins, setting the head on a trip. There was no sound except the song of the waves. It was a beach with the virgin sand all around. Buoys with led lights could be seen blinking in the sea with no source of light other than the moon supporting them. Lying on the nets of a fishing boat just besides the shore felt nice. It was mid night as the world had started to count the last few hours of the year gone by.

Just realized that I had been staring at the stars for sometime now. The sky was clear and it had been a long time looking at the open sky. Then came a sound from the sky as if the almighty started speaking to me. I was not in a position to make a difference between illusion and reality. Hence thought of enjoying whatever happened. Soon it turned into a conversation between me and God. We spoke about the world matters and various other challenges it faced. Seemed as if two friends were talking to each other, at their favorite hangout over drinks. Soon enough we started about our personal experiences with life. Some of them good and some bad.

Spoke about my dreams, so openly for the first time. Clarity of mind through discussion gave its presence. Opening up here felt so heavenly, which felt good and the mind had become even lighter. In the meantime, the brain was penning down the vision of life subconsciously.

All in all, I was enjoying the treat. Away from the stupid city way of celebrating the New Year. Here, I loved the nature and in return the nature loved me even more. What more would a human being ask for. Nothing but nature gave me my much needed break and solace. Here I was with the stars as my cover and the sand as my bed, It felt really good.  Its true, nature heals.
